Can anyone say for certain that 70013 is on for this Sunday's NWCE out of LIverpool? UK Steam has it in bold, 1st choice. If it is defo, how are RTC with 'pay on the day'? I've been waiting for confirmation it was Ollie before parting with funds! :)

RTC are usually fine with POTD.

Although the trip runs tomorrow, there are still no timings yet on UK Steam. Will it be the same timings as last year??

70013 is now most likely to haul tomorrows NWCE but I'm surprised that David has no timings, I'm heading out so will refer to last years and hope for the best. First few times from RTC web site are to within a few minutes of last years UKSteam, probably safe to use those then.

Am going to turn up at Lime St in the hope of Ollie being at the helm and do a POTD. RTC now saying 10.07 dept with a 22.35 return; later than previous. :-(

Its definitely 70013 tomorrow. Heard today that this will be the only NWCE. The following two have been cancelled, due to low bookings.

    *Expletive deleted* :(

My "other half" got a ticket for next weeks train a couple of days ago which was followed this morning by a letter saying it was cancelled; don't have the letter to hand right now, but I am sure there was an option to transfer the booking to the following weeks trip.

I am already booked on this, so will I need to be on the lookout for something else to keep me amused on the 21st then?

The times are now (at last) available at www.uksteam.info/tours/t11/t0807b.htm In fact they are only the odd few minutes different from last year. Next weeks train on 14 August has been cancelled, but the train on 21 August is still running as far as I know.

Reminds me of a phot in Steam Railway years ago of 60532 Blue Peter at Leicester North where it appeared the Locomotive was being pulled along on a lead by a small dog on the platform...

Seriously we all foul up occasionally like that Neil.

Thanks for the comments re my photo earlier, I thought it was daft enough to post up. My video is up now, a very short one due to my view being obstructed for the long shot when Ollie was working a bit, there were around 10 people stood with me, all stood quite well back in case of something approaching from behind...

Ollie on Weaver Viaduct and then at Helsby either side of the Frodsham water stop.

That's me done for a week with grandparenting and Fairport Convention's music bash in Cropredy. Look forward to seeing what I will have missed.
