    I very much doubt the appearance of 828 on anything but photo-charters around the Gala...

    I'm lead to believe that 828 will be on the LMS set over the weekend, with the original plan being 43106 and Joem on four teaks each. But now Joem's been cancelled I suspect they will have to completely re-do the loco diagrams.

    828 wil be on the SVR from mid September to early November. There is nothing in the agreement that prevents it from being used on service trains.

    Just a little update
    At Arley, there will be a section of narrow guage track with Britomart performing runs on it.

    Any more news on the last visitor yet? So far we have;
    V: 60163 / 828 / 6023 / 5029 / 92212
    H: 2857 / 4566 / 5164 / 7812 / 42968 / 43106 / 46443
    M: Britomart (Arley only)

    Still aiming for all 3 days with Jeff Martin, though think there could be a much larger group of us if everyone can get all the time off they need.

    Noticed on the SVR website there is this

    As I understand, thats it with 4566 being a spare for the weekend and 5164 planned to have some work done on it.

    That's still a solid lineup even if there isn't an additional guest locomotive coming. Less than two months to go!!! Getting to the airport on September 21st can't come soon enough for me!!!

    Six locos i've never seen running (60163, 828, 6023, 5029, 2857 & 43106), one i haven't seen since 2004 (92212), and the SVR Fleet of 4566, 5164, 7812, 42968 & 46443 plus the Narrow Gauge Britomart makes for lots to see and enjoy.

    I would have assumed that 92212 is the (un)confirmed visitor on an official level. At the time of the initial posting on the SVR website, it was unconfirmed that the 9f was visiting full stop :)

    I for one can't wait for this one!

    Unlikely that 5164 will be in use at gala as having work done at Bridgnorth by then hopefully.
