Not to my knowledge. Don't think anybody has actually bought it, yet, although there are interested parties.

Sorry, not able to reply, the mods are censoring disapproving posts about the NRM

Surprised I haven't seen any pics or vids from Spring Bank yet...
...especially as it was the only loco without a face!!!

Certainly sounded well leaving Bolton Abbey albeit making light work on load 5!

Soon sort that out, then a nice coat of blue paint lined out in red, take off that nasty brass thing, no one will notice the extra wheel...

Saw her last weekend, got a lovely crisp exhaust but did sound a little off- beat as has been mentioned before

    Hello,

With regards to running dates for 6619.

No dates are confirmed at the moment. I will post when I have some news on running dates.

This weekend 11-12 June and midweek running 12, 13 and 14th June newly returned to steam RSH Austerity 0-6-0ST 'Norman' Works No. 7086/43 of 1943 is rostered for the services.

A good opportunity to see both of these engines in steam I imagine will be the last weekend in July and all weekends in August as this is our 2 train service with the vintage train running in one path and the Mk 1 rake in the other path.

This is all of course subject to change so don't shoot the messenger!

    Hope this helps.

    Many Thanks,

    Smiler

Thanks for the information, will be over for it when the A59 reopens (Blubberhouses is closed until 10 July).
Does this mean the diesel weekend is not taking place this year ?

There are quite a few easy divert routes around that section North or South of the 59.
Via A65 Ilkley or B6265 Pateley Bridge

' It is with regret that this years diesel gala will not be going ahead. There are a number of reasons, but the main reason is the diesel department have been unable to carry out sufficient repair and restoration work in time, this is due to other commitments relating to operating the railway, other reasons include frost damage and a shortage of shed space to carry out painting work. We feel this 'break' will enable us to get back on top of the fleet and provide gala atendees next year with a good show.'

That is a shame Tim; but thanks for the clarification.

I wish you all the very best for the event in 2012.

Will steam power permit a steam gala weekend later in the year?

    Thanks again Tim

If we have Beatrice and Illingworth into traffic, then I would really hope so!!

Illingworth's boiler is in the process of being rivetted back together: outer firebox supports new shiny rivets, as does the front tube plate. It is beginning to look more like a boiler once again! The inner firebox is having the girder stays fitted (properly this time), and should be back on site soon, ready for fitting and staying. Still quite a lot of work to be done on this, but the rest of the loco is very close. I should be able to pop some piccies on soon as I took them a couple of days ago!

Anyway - a slightly tangential reply there...

Cheers Tim; that is positive news; I will watch this space as they say.

Best of luck with the overhauls
