    Not to mention hundreds of diesels and electric powered locos/trains. There is surely sufficient experience out there to air brake a railway vehicle; there has to be a different explanation.

    I saw the times posted on Preston railgen,but no mention of Tangmere there.I think you will find this is a 47 on ECS to Southall

    No sign of Tangmere in steam at Carnforth today and the times were indeed for the 47 that passed hest bank at 9-56 . Steve

    Didn't Tangmere have a few air brake compressor problems years ago when first certified for mainline running?
    And wasn't it found to be faulty Polish-made compressor problem?

    There is a pathway for a movement from Carnforth to Southall on Friday 18th, whether Tangmere is ready and will utilise this we'll have to wait and see.
