Amateur category I guess, as I've not had anything published in any of the mags.

My vote was with Chris and 45305 , but that actually just beats it . It's different and shows the power of digital as a medium . Be inventive , use and abuse the technology at your disposal

Good photo - really different and inventive. 9/10 photters would probably have not even attempted a photo in that situation so good job.

I'm not being critical, but I feel the photo would benefit from being a bit more symmetrical, so that the line of running plate is closer to horizontal. I'm interested to know whether the submitted image is 'full-frame' or whether it has been cropped? If it has been cropped, then it may be worth having a play around to see if it can be tweaked in PS and re-cropped? Just a suggestion - and perhaps see how it looks in b/w just for something different?

Time to give the mods a headache me thinks!

I reckon that we need to have a few categories, not only amateur, but also semi pro & pro dependant on what your camera is classified as ie point & shoot compacts & systems for amateur, DSLRs classified as semi pro (I use a Nikon 5000 so I get the benefit of choosing stills or video & capturing frames later)
And then the big boys toys for the pros.

We could also have ones for preserved & mainline.

Over to you guys & girls

Here's my 'effort' - I cant compete with some of really stunning images posted so far.
