[Image removed, entered another one later on].

I'll go for amateur as well I think... Yet to have anything published in the mags, I'll set that as my benchmark for changing categories

I would agree to pro class for videos but stills? Camera less than £150, never bother with tripod, but if Iain thinks my stills are that good then who am I to argue. So I'll put this as my still entry.

OK Ralph, you got me banged to rights there, you're just a better snapper than me :( (Mind you, you'd fail on my distance criteria I think ;) )

Maybe we need THREE classes Serious, Amateur and Snapper !

Some tremendous images already , and come on less of this amateur stuff . There are efforts on here that stand way above material that is published . Don't be ashamed of it , let see it

As a good will gesture, Steaming Around Yorkshire Film Production are offering a complimentary copy of our upcoming 'Steaming Around Britain's Mainline 2010' DVD to the winner which is due for release in early 2011.

We could maybe make a tradition of it - with a bit of luck (and pending a solution to ongoing PC problems...) the Renown Repulse Restoration Group will have 'Full Forward' available this time next year for the 2011 competition

My camera gear is pretty cheap but as I'll travel more than 5/10 miles I guess I'll have to put this in PRO.

On April 8th 44871 & 70013 climb away from Bristol with the GBIII.

Here is my Submission under 'Professional' due to getting a few photos published this year. Loaded this photo onto this site a 6 months ago and members seemed to like it. Was taken on the Leyton & Barnstable Railway in February this year.

That's a cracker and certainly sets the standard for the pros. There'll have to be something pretty awesome submitted to prise my vote away from that :)
