Have been doing some research into MoD railways of the narrower gauge and have found the remaining ones to be:

    Longtown?
    Lydd Ranges?
    Romney Marsh Weapons Range?

Anyone know of anymore? Or remnants of any? I presume there must be some of Eastriggs left as it only closed in 2005.

I still regret the closure of Dean Hill, would have been one hell of a heritage centre!!

There was a thread on this topic a year or so ago, and I think that quite an extensive system still remains on the Dorset ranges around Lulworth Cove.

    Hi
Visited Lydd last year . No sign of activity and track mostly disappearing under gorse
I can confirm that all track has now gone from Dean Hill and Trecwn

    Regards

Lydd and Romney Marsh are/were one in the same.
Longtown - never narrow gauge AFAIK?
Is Eastriggs closed? AFAIK they still have five two foot gauge Barclay diesels there.

There may still be something at Shoeburyness, Essex. They still (AFAIK again) have two 2'6" gauge Claytons.

As far as I was informed Longtown and Eastriggs were part of the same complex, this is my bad!

There's also the two 600mm Rustons stored underground at MOD Corsham, DCSA, Basil Hill Site, Park Lane. ST 851694.
AFAIK MOD Oakhampton & MOD Redesdale still have NG Wickham target trollies.
