Just a quick update on loco news at Toddington. The big event is that LMS 8f 8274 was dragged round for coal yesterday and a warming fire lit. This is still only a staic test as both valve covers need fitting and valves set. Subject to the neccessary milage running in, the team are confident of making the GWR 175 gala (may 29th - 6th June). 3717 City of Truro is entering the final stages of repainting - think 4965 Rood Ashton Hall and you wont be far out - It looks fantastic - what elso do you expect of a timmins & Co paint job! As an aside Thomas (LMS Jinty) arrived from Llangollen and was steam tested yesterday, making it a bit of an LM theme on shed. With the 3 locos on service trains it was a tad busy! Lots to look forward to in the coming weeks.

Oh yes, and in just over a week you'll be able to see it up close and personal down at the D.I.D cot. (Sorry, plug...)

I have been sent a large number of pictures of Truro in her new colours which will go on the website this evening. In the meantime there is a appetiser on the homepage - www.gwsr.com
