Well I've been neglecting this thread a bit lately and thought a nice update would set things straight:
First off work on the bunker of the pannier is coming along nicely
    [IMG]

The boilers off Foxcote and 2807 are in the yard:

    And 2807 is 2807
    [IMG]

Also in the she is Desmond's new saddle tank that is under construction but i forgot to take a picture of that so my bad.

We'll have to enrol Mr. Broomhalla on a boiler recognition course. The boiler furthest from the camera belongs to the E.L.R. Black Five.

Foxcote's boiler is doing a dead fly impression at the back of the boilershop...

Wishful thinking on my part then. I'm sure i'm not the only one who can't wait to have Foxcote manor back.

Paid a quick visit to the shed this morning.

    Desmond new tank:

2807 seems to be advancing nicely and i wish them the best of luck:

The chassis off the railmotor trailer car is now up at the shed. I can only assume the green bits of metal are cladding for 2807:

The standard tank looked stunning today in the sun:

    And one for my archives:

Also and because i was slightly mad i climbed up to Llangollen castle and was able to get this shot of the shed:

    Another quick update:
4141 is now in the shed without boiler or tanks.

The Class 37 is now sanded down and i can't wait till it is repainted into it's new livery
    [IMG]

2807 is on reception looking stunning
    [IMG]

And because i don't mention it that often here is a picture of Hugh Shipstons small prairie

Don't know for definite, but everytime she has been restored she's come out in BR Brunswick. There are a few of us though who have hinted for something a little more darker, but end of the day its upto the 7822 Society.

Going off topic, but like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eV-iEAWBYJM :D
Tis a shame, but 7802 is now no longer allowed mainline, and seeing as her owning group feel it wasn't worthwhile with 7802 we can presume 7812 will not bee seen mainline. SVR too haven't allowed their own locos mainline in very recent times so we can count 7819 out as well.
The WSR 3 will also presumably have enough work on the Minehead branch to keep them occupied leaving only 7808 and 7822. Well sadly the 7822 group haven't got the resources in both money and manpower to be able to go mainline, so unless Didcot can be persuaded I'm sad to say sights like the video above are a thing of the past.

As you say though, we will soon get to enjoy the sight and sound of a Manor in Wales once 7822 returns. Next April's gala is hoped to be her return to traffic gala along with appropriate guests. It's something I'm definitely looking forward to as are many of LR/7822 volunteers.

7802 was pulled from mainline work because at the time it did not stack up financially to continue. Also it appeared that vacuum brakes were on the way out and that running on the Cambrian with steam would be precluded by the introduction of ERTMS.
In the event some vacuum working continues without an end date & the ERTMS obstacle may yet be overcome.
7802 remains in heritage line service hopefully through 2011 & will then require overhaul.

7802 also has an outstanding, unfufilled engagement with the Ruabon - Barmouth Junction Line in that it was due to haul a SLS special along the line at the time of its closure. In the event the line was washed out just before the event never to reopen (under BR anyway!!) and the special, 7802 hauled, was diverted elsewhere.
Perhaps one day the outstanding engagement can, at least in part, be fulfilled.........................
