Thanks for feedback guys. Bryan, you could right click on the file then 'save as' to save the file to your pc. Then open the file with your chosen media player. It should work okay in any player that can play 'mp3' files. Any problems pm me and I'll have a look at it.

Right, photos are online now and video to come in about an hour (uploading now).

Gotta say thanks to Pete (Roberts) the driver on the return (Outward Dave Hewson) for his awesome engine handling, but a wider thanks needs to be given to SD the support crew, the fireman etc etc. The run up Bincombe was unbelievable, the way she just seemed to take it with ease was superb. 34067 seems to be a new engine after the visit to 10A,it looks and sounds better and goes much better it seems too. Well done all! =D> =D>

The run of Parkstone was no less explosive with one of the best performances i have ever witnessed up there. A fitting memory of the end of Southern steam i'm sure you will agree. Also credit needs to be given to South West Trains and the signaller, they let us out in front of the 19:20 Waterloo with a 5 minute gap. Also they made sure the previous train (19:06 Waterloo) was well out of section meaning we didn't get checked.

Damn! ](*,) I was tempted to do this run as well as a previous run I had with 34067 to Weymouth was not so good. I am intending to do the run with 70013 next month and wonder whether they will allow her to do the same as 34067 has proved it can be done unassisted.

Just think how bad that run would have been if Tangy still had Bulleid's Steam Reverser.

Does it still not have it then? What does it have instead?

Just as well it wasn't wet though!
These runs thru' Maiden do seem jinxed. I was on 6024's run a couple of years back when the 31 caused some problems and we went back with 2x31's on the direct line.

I know, it was a bit "tongue in cheek" after all those negative comments about them in the Air smoothed merchant navy thread a few days ago.

She and the crews have been putting in great performances recently.

How long have we got Tangy before she is out of ticket and is there any sign of an unrebuilt on the main line?

Those around me yesterday were saying that she will be out for a routine boiler exam. That's why the next "Sunny South" adventure is coming through with Oliver Cromwell at the helm. Certainly sounded in fine form.

UKsteam.info says Main Line cert expires 2009, boiler cert expires 2012.

I would of thought that the next main line unrebuilt would be 34092, probably be based up North though. I think rebuilt 34046 is due on the main line though.

Well it wasn't wet. So instead of being Job's Comfort, just rejoice in a wonderful piece of enginemanship from a crew who were prepared to have a go with a loco that was obviously on top form.
Don't quite understand the "thru' Maiden" quote as this trip wasn't routed via Maiden Newton - if that's to where you are referring - in either direction.

The turning move was through Maiden Newton to Yeovil and Back and it was there that the "helping" 37 got into problems. That aspect of the operation always seems to be fraught with difficulties for some reason especially once out of path on the single line sections
