Some of us are looking beyond a mere two and a half years.

I know that when you have a loco in operation that your main focus is keeping it that way at support crew level - but if above you steps are being taken that render all your effort useless in the long term - are you really happy? or do you just want to play trains for a couple of years and then move on?

That's the reality here. So stop getting wound up about pops at the support crew still aboard - which is not what this is about, and look long term - or your toy is back in the box in 2012 - for keeps.

This whole saga is about pride. Pride always comes before destruction, which as Frank has eluded to, will eventually result in Lizzie being stuffed and mounted. No one wants that, so please, lets have a bit more humility and less pride - from all sides.

The only way for the loco to go on is for people to dig very deep into their pockets and get involved and persist if there are knock backs . 41 pages now , £10 a post would net a tidy sum

It's always easy to criticise and very easy to post but very difficult to motivate yourself and find the time to get involved

And you would know all about getting involved, not seen your name mentioned on the working party lists, did you know the engine has left Tyseley?

Have you been found out Martin? Are you not as involved in 6201 as you have lead us to believe, confidential chats with the chairman etc. When did you last work on Lizzie?

There is no being found out at all . I've never said I was a working member although I was in the past . Life circumstances change and I do not have the time to commit to the engine . My postings have been in support of those that do .

At least i'm willing to put my name to my postings . Just who is 6201 member and efiste ?

Innocent explanation for this one, 6201 member posted his original message at 8.41pm on his own computer using his password, some time later he edited his message on a different computer, again using his password. My message was posted at 10.56pm using my password on the same computer. No dual identity I'm afraid, something similar would occur in a public libruary with computer access.

    Mr Efiste

Could you just confirm the current chief engineer on the loco for us please - you know - the one who has been in charge since September

Incredible how quiet this thread has gone, especially in view of the amount of noise made by a couple of 6201 supporters earlier. Maybe they are recognising they have problems, and the last post about the engineer in charge is too hard for them to deal with?

Nobody is denying lizzie has problems............but people who post loaded questions dont deserve replies. Lizzie and its group do have problems, but the people with the real problem are the people who spend their time trying to publicly put down the people that spend their time in a more productive way, trying to keep the engine out there for these so called enthusiasts to see!

Unfortunately, those people trying to keep the engine going are having life made harder and harder by people such as you, who refuse to be open and honest about whats happening. The secrecy with which things are going on, and the vague or untrue answers to questions, doesn't encourage anyone to support your cause. Everyone wants to see Lizzie out and about, but you, and your henchmen are rapidly doing yourselves out of a mainline running future.

And by the way, I have no connection to anyone involved with any locomotive, or works that would have anything to do with Lizzie. So i suggest you get down off your high horse.

If youd care to read through the history of this post you may learn a little of its content, and your "HIGH HORSE" comment is by far better directed at the people who want to see lizzie and her crew fail out of spite and their huge over-inflated ego's, and also those posters that have never lifted a finger to help in the running of a mainline engine, and therefore are completely oblivious to what it involves!
    here we go again.............. ](*,)
I can only speak for myself in the fact that I personally have been told not to publish on here, any details of some of the problems (ie the actual LOCO ones) as it would severley damage reputations, reputations of proffesional people and people that are still held with great respect amongst the support crew, I have said this before, I would dearly love to post every single thing that i know on the problems with Lizzie , and all the photographs to back it up. but its not my decision.......and a forum is certainly not the place to publish it anyway, if you want to contact the group directly, i am sure they will tell you the situation and the position they are in at the moment

My apologies to Linesider, and the other posters trying to ask sensible questions. my lastt reply was pointed towards the doom-mongers and not to the genuine enthusuaists like youself asking genuine questions,
