Thanks Alberta for the grand pic of 60163 at Kings +

Where have all the crowds gone?..The excitement is over with the general public,it's left to the die-hards to keep up the momentum in the future.

    Cheers!

There were quite a few there still, most were either around near me or next to the engine, there was a big interest from the public it was just the damned knife and fork brigade that buggered off,as usual!

In the evening it was stupid with the Notwork Rail idiots stopping anyone going on the platform ](*,)
    Cheers,

Of course what with the Kings + TV programme the night previous, jobs worth have got to look alert,so it's a station very much in everyones minds at the moment...got to keep those 'naughty' photographers at bay.

Mark my words, this will all simmer down to a trickle of people that N.R. will welcome with open arms in future, perhaps bringing you cups of tea,for your effort in turning up.

I'll take one lump of sugar in mine...

I think the lack of a response, together with the other contribution later in the thread, make your impression correct.

An argument no doubt. I would very much doubt Stuart would be stupid enough to trespass.

    The 'general public' are not really likely to turn out in huge numbers at 6.30am and 9pm are they ? It's only 3 months ago that Kings Cross station staff were crucified on this forum for allowing too many people onto the platform. Damned if they do and damned if they dont. =;

There were only about 10 of us stood behind the behind the barrier at this point and not many more on the platform, they did however let a load of NXEC staff and the odd one from FCC onto the platform to take fots, there must be a difference, obviously? Maybe if there were 5000 people i would understand!

Re Stuarts phot, im sure a shot like that can be obtained with a decent long lens, say 70-300MM for example, innocent until proven guilty n all.

But what would the finger pointing veg do if they didn't have something to froth about - just ignore them - "They're more to be pitied than scolded" as Billy Connolly used to say

You're the very reason I didn't respond, I wanted to see how long you could wait before you had to stick your oar in.

What is it with you that you can't mind your own business, do you fancy yourself as the worlds conscience or something?
You've got a bit of history on this forum of accusing people of trespass, in fact it seems to be your main contribution.

I was tempted to leave it at that and just ignore you, after all why should I have to justify myself to you,
but you obviously like being humiliated on public forums so here goes.

If you did your homework you'd find that there are unmanned crossings on the ECML, which is where I shot 60007.

See the fence on the right hand side, well that's where I was stood.

Still don't believe me, then look at this uncropped shot and you can see the yellow warning sign on the left.

I look forward to your apology, or will it be more abuse in a pm again.

If you find the church at North Otterington on THIS map you'll see the footpath that leads to the crossing just to the right of it, it's about a 10 minute walk.

Not a bad location at all squire. Even the slow line's got a decent angle for photting. Rather a long way from Bedfordshire though.
