I might be able to get out for the outward run but I am on a late shift and it also depends on the weather. Looking forward to seeing Leander on the mainline again.

Does anyone know how work is progressing at Carnforth with Leander?

Indeed, WILL we see it out on Sunday ... and, if not, what is likely to be the substitute?

I'm hoping to be out to see this, weather depending. A red Jubillie over the S&C, yes please! Hoping it will be sunny.

It almost sounds as if you are willing Leander not to be available. Is there some ulterior motive I wonder. :-k

Obviously a green 5X would have been more to my taste (brings back many memories of cleaning 'em at Holbeck in '67!), but on a complete rake of all-maroon, I honestly wouldn't mind, one way or t'other. (Just so long as it's not going to be that freight loco with the absolutely hideous nameplates!!)

I will be filming at either Selside or Blea Moor on the outward leg and Ais Gill on the return. I am really looking forward to see Leander over the S&C. PSOV's footage of her last summer with a full rake of maroons was simply stunning.

So that probably means heavy squally showers on the S&C then. I'll put the waterproofs on before I leave home.
