    To All Forum Users.

    It has become increasingly obvious to the moderation team that the New General Chat section of the forum is the source of probably 90+% of all the disagreements, insults, reports etc that are generated by this entire forum.

    We are becoming ever more unhappy that our time spent on the forum is taken up by the administration of this section with all the complaints and reports.

    This needs to stop.

    There is a lot of support in the team behind doing away with New General Chat in its entirety, however we are willing to continue for the time being but with the following caveats; please consider before you post or respond;

    • Is my post really pertinent to a Railway forum?
    • Am I just posting to create a reaction or is my post genuinely worthy of sharing?
    • Is my response really appropriate or proportionate?
    • Am I insulting anyone by posting or responding?

    If you don’t feel that you meet any of these criteria, please take your thoughts elsewhere, there are plenty of places to discuss other matters.

    If anyone feels that they still need to continue as has been evident of late, then they may well find their forum membership suspended or cancelled without further warning.

    Thank you for your kind cooperation.
