Good day. Trains were busy, some delays. Very atmospheric with the snow about, especially this evening with more falling. It'll be interesting to see how falls and sticks, it was fairly heavy just and was beginning to stick.

Much less snow left this morning after the rain. Roads totally clear in Haworth, pavements still have remnants.

For anyone arriving into Oxenhope from the Leeds direction, there's a BMW buried in the wall on the hill down into Oxenhope. Road is passable as long as you're not bigger than a car!

Some footage from this weekend's Snowy Stanier Steam-up at the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway's Steam Gala. Absolute credit to all the volunteers for putting on a fantastic event in the challenging weather conditions!

A sample of workings from Saturday when roads were sufficiently clear for cross-Pennine travel; reports suggest that the event was in profit at the end of Saturday so many people made the effort to support the event despite the weather. A selection of my images from the day - mainly around station areas as this septuagenerian was unwilling to risk too much ! 45690-10c.JPG 1054-04b.JPG 45596-05b.JPG KWVR-07b.JPG

I am a little concerned about the lads on the penultimate sequence; were they inside the boundary and - if so - how did they get there especially without hi-vis clothing ?

Back from an exceptional few days at the KWVR. After a dicey drive into Oxenhope on Thursday morning we used the trains to get around - rode a lot over three days before heading back today.

Unfortunately I forgot my camera - what a trip to leave it behind for! So I was stuck with iPhone photos and videos, as below.

Many thanks to all involved in an excellent weekend.

Magic conditions on Friday afternoon but couldn't move until the gritter had cleared our road of over six inches of overnight snow. Still a good session was had down at Damems Loop...........
