An interesting day made a bit more interesting! 5029 and 70013 were going superbly until the unfortunate failure. Well done though to all the crews co-operating and still getting us to Cornwall even if we had reduced time.

I helped one of the suppoert crew out by taking him to the Fire Station on sunday evening, to organise some water etc, still there this evening and he mentioned they were possibly going to be there a couple of days though.

There has to be the great possibility that P&DSR wil be yused I would have thought, being the nearest turntable etc.....

Hopefully going out to see tangmere coming through later, then charge everything up for tomorrow!

Its been raining here all day, but the forcast for tomorrow is good though!!

heard from one of the P&DSR chaps that Nunney is to be lifted at Paignton to assess the damage. It seems a separate problem prevented her being moved to Paignton sooner.
Perhaps we might get some "running in" on P&D service trains after she's mended? She'll need to stay for a few months I think \:D/ \:D/

    Thanks Mark
To put the record right for those who might think I was glad D1015 worked from Newton Abbot after 5029 failed,I would rather have seen 5029 and 70013 on Tigley as I,we, were going to Hemerdon for Champion later.

Thanks once again Mark for your updates.
