Is there any kind soul who could say which departures the teak set is on tomorrow please? Would be most grateful. Travelled up today but popped into Pickering to see a few trains late afternoon and look in the LNERCA workshop, absolutely stunning work by the way.

Usually the second train off Pickering if that is any help.

    I’d guess 9.58 P-G, 11.37 G-P, 13.17 P-G, 14.58 G-P, 16.38 P-G, 18.20 G-P.

Also, I understand that this steam festival sees the first operation of the Gresley buffet car (ie serving food and drinks) since it was vandalised some 5 years ago.

Nothing moving at Goathland atm. Currently 20min down on 0931 ex-Grosmont and have seen the ex-Pickering steam for the last 15min beyond the bridge, but nothing is going anywhere currently.

Edit: Things are moving again both directions.

First service out of Pickering this morning behind 9F about 20 minutes late and SNG at least if not more late in the opposite direction from Grosmont. 80136 stuck at Lewisham waiting for it to pass.

Q6 should be on the 17.15 ex Grosmont today instead of the 9F.

Timetable out of the window again this morning! The 11.43 from Grosmont hasn't left yet!

Lucie declared failed at Levisham and consequently it blocked the line. This Mornings double header left Levisham 65 down.

The train that left Grosmont around mid-day was to & tailed by Classes 37 and 31 so presumably a steam loco failed - the 9F, 76079 or 80136 perhaps? It would be unlikely to be the J27 on a full length train and those are the only other locos I haven't noticed yet today.

76079 was on the timetable. And it was a Whitby service

A bit strange then - neither of the diesels went to Whitby, they were both in the carriage sings before this working, so why form up what should have been a steam-hauled train with two diesels when there should have been a steam loco available at the shed?

4498 finally on the teaks on the heavily delayed 13.51 to Pickering. Standing room only.

Said train has still not arrived at Pickering and it is now twenty to five!! Atrocious timekeeping and from what I have witnessed, little attempt at making any time up.
76079 stood cold at MPD, so presumably failed on shed last night or this morning. Why 825 couldn't be swapped on to the Whitby train and either the Standard Tank or Q6 used in the S15's slot, goodness knows?
Freight train and Lucie shunting around at Levisham seems to cause more delays, so maybe something to be reconsidered for next year's 50th anniversary gala?!

Not surprising - there is considerably less capacity on the teak set than the Mark 1 sets … which I guess is why 4498 wasn’t rostered on the teaks.

Some from a happier Friday. After a trip up the bank with SNG, spent the day focused on gorgeous 85. Thanks to the weather, the strange J27/9F combo didn't look too shabby. Great decision to let 85 lead the Pickering train on Saturday and put the 9F on the back. Had a great run behind her to Levisham.
