    What chance the Great Western Society temporarily rename 6023 with a newly made nameplate as King Charles III at Didcot for the coming Coronation? I understand this was the tradition to count back from the renamings of 6029 and 6028.

    Didcot will probably try to build a new one from the left overs of a Turkish 8F, a condemned 58 and some spare class 20 bogies.

    I was thinking similar, but with 6024 as the loco isn't too far off steaming and has hauled the new King on a Royal Train in the past.

    Which leaves the opportunity with 6024's owner, not 6023's.

    6023 could become King William V in due course.
