Doesn't look too dusty after it's recent sojourn at Tarrant Hinton (GDSF) I believe.

Yes, looks like the low loader tractor unit has had a wash down as well. Everything was looking very dusty when I was watching YouTube videos yesterday.

Apologies if this has been asked before, but is there a loco roster available anywhere, if not does anyone know what loco's are going to be in use the week starting 12th of September ?

Didn't the SR webpage or FB page put up loco rosters, but can't find it now?

Did notice the Flying Scotsman will be at the SR October, this reminder of steam expresses to romantic locations will bring in some income for the Swanage railway.

From the Southern Locomotives webpage looks like SKP was to have been at Herston Works June to start it's overhaul, but is now at Norden? Then off to NNR to get Sidmouth's boiler to re enter service in 2023. 257 Squadron will go to The Spa Valley railway November for the Christmas trains, by then Marston should be back in service.

Apparently the on-line ticket page should go live on Tuesday 6th September.

Checked and although the article in Heritage Railway Magazine correctly says the great Dorset steam fair, the headline says Devon, the headline might have been done by someone not good with UK county geography!.

The article also says why SKP was unloaded at Norden rather than Herstan as they are waiting for Manston to be completed, before releasing space in the workshop for SKP.

Most probably someone who doesn't proof read, Why have the Dorset Steam Fair in Devon? Also further on regarding Beachy Head, they name Keith Sturt as Keith Stuart. Hate inaccuracies like Herstan when its Herston ;)

    My bad, sorry
Looks like it was affected by Covid, Last update on the Herston works seems to be the "Southerners" video back in March?

Refreshingly no background music, but no commentary or explaination.
Guess from the video it's currently full with Manston, 30053 and 31874 being worked on, with no space for SKP? (Edit: Swanning around newsletter does mention parts update and boiler refurb is slowly going well for 30053)
Anyone know if it will be open to public visits?

I was in the works last week, certainly impressive with Manston just hanging in the air

    The tender
The T3's tender is in there as well.

They could yionk out 31874 to allow SKP in, as nothing has happened on 31874 for at least two years. Or at least what I was told when I was there and I was able to ask.

Please can someone enlighten me as to why SRC is running diesel from today onwards (Monday)? I am not aware of any steam ban.

Locally there is after another (small) lineside fire yesterday. Don't know how much rain there was last night, but the decision has been made for today.

But post#427 on the RTC thread https://www.national-preservation.com/threads/rtc-2022.1420313/page-22 from 08:17 today says "Website says steam hauled trains today. A lot of rain overnight and more to come." Website wrong?
