Why would it? It's owned by the Royal Scot Locomotive and General Trust. Jeremy Hosking is a trustee. He's also a major shareholder in PDSR.

I forgot he owned it, he's got that many of them I sometimes drift out of the loop.

Today has not been a good day for Oswald. After this morning's trials and tribulations, I decided on the usual spot for the return - Ramsgreave & Wilpshire station. Mrs W volunteered to keep me company. No problems with the traffic, I parked up, collected my bits and pieces from the boot and we made our way to an empty platform. It was at this point that I realised that I hadn't picked up an essential part of my kit - my tripod! So back to the car to collect it. When I returned to the station a couple of guys had already set-up at the Blackburn end of the Clitheroe platform, so Mrs W and I strolled down to the Clitheroe end. Never mind, I thought, another chance to get that going-away shot (after failing on Saturday with Tangmere).

After a couple of minutes I was ready. The weather was taking a turn for the worse, although still warm (19C) it had become overcast, and the southerly breeze had increased in strength. The forecast was for potentially heavy rain starting between 7 and 8pm; the train was due a few minutes after 7. The problem with a southerly wind is that it is in exactly the wrong direction for carrying the sound of a steam locomotive approaching from the Clitheroe direction, add on the effects of the tunnel and that Braunton is a bit on the quiet side . . . she was already coming towards the station before I saw her. On with the iphone - yes! On with the camera - yes, well actually no! When I got home and reviewed the camera video, there was no video to review! Oswald must have failed to press the record button properly or to check that the camera was recording - what an idiot he is, I'm glad that I'm not like that! So just a short iphone clip. On the plus side, Braunton looked and sounded spot on as she hurried past, through the station and over the summit (and the rain held off until after 8pm). 6E and 30 mph - I make no comment about what the diesel was doing or may have been doing.

So it's goodnight from me and goodnight from Oswald - I don't know about GOOD!

LSL trips are on the Saturday this year, rather than the traditional Torbay Express Sunday, but I guess it would come down to if the P&D had crew to deal with two trips in a weekend for a Pathfinder Sunday tour.
