For comparison, in BR days a 57xx pannier tank was allowed to take up to 310 tons between Hartlebury and Shrewsbury as shown in this excerpt from the BR(W) 1963 Engine Loads document:

I’ve never had a view about the WSR, I don’t know where you get that from

Yeah, but it’s not the done thing to express it - hence why that thread is always so quiet …

Not me, I think they went through something like what’s happening at the SVR a few years ago but it appears that things have now changed for the better but I haven’t been there for a few years

I gather 7714 will be in use to tomorrow as Welsh Guardsman needs some attention.

From Twitter, well done all! :

"Another milestone was reached today in the restoration of 4930. Today she was steamed and moved round the yard. Just the start of the commissioning stage but good to see her in steam. Click the link to read more."

Anyone know what's running over the weekend?

A friend is visiting from Ireland and is looking to visit the line, but we only know Queen Valley is running (which he's not too keen on.) Site loco roster only shows up to today.

    No.
I was just totally confused with references to 70 and Lady A. presumably 70 is Taw Valley but then thee was a reference to MSC 70 and then Lady Armadale (MSC 14)
