Never seen that location before. A nice picture Ian with a piece of infrastructure rarely seen now, a gasometer.

Cheers John. The gas holder is listed, so should be a scene on Carlisle's skyline for some time.

An excellent, very enjoyable, and noisy at times, run around the Cumbrian coast.

Must admit with all of the footage I’ve seen of Guardsman over the weekend we can certainly admit she/he was match fit and the rest :):)

My thoughts as well, for some time now her exhaust beat had been decidedly uneven, but in these recent videos, it's obvious that the valve timing is now spot on. All praise to the WCR team.

I can vouch over everything said about noise levels from both Scots Guardsman and Leander. Assistance or no assistance, 46115 was spot on snarling her way to Beattock. And 45690 was certainly enjoying the stroll around the Cumbrian Coast, the getaway from Ravenglass highlighting that Jubilee roar at its best. Plus it’s always a pleasure travelling around the coast.

46115 seen on a charge at Crawford then leaving Lockerbie loop and Quintinshill loop, 45690 light engine move at Hincaster then with the tour at Dalton Junction and Dalton Station.

Bahamas leading the way, with a yellow wreath, assume Leander was tucked inside but as we watched off the bridge and there was a lot of steam we couldn't actually see?

Agree with that and it probably also helped the support crew to have a day with the loco rather than four days continuously as was originally advertised, especially as Day 4 of the GB would have been a long one for the loco. Did not the A1ST fall foul of that problem a while back when three continuous days steaming of Tornado without decent servicing facilities on a Scottish Coronation trip resulted in an eventual failure with a clinkered fire at Rugby?

Is there any information about today's and tomorrow's train timings for GBXIV?
