No I do not currently volunteer
125 Group is delighted to announce first running days in over 2 years
    From: https://www.125group.org.uk/running-days-in-april-2022/

I wasn't aware that the group had moved to the MRC - when did this happen?

Also, does anyone know what the group's plans are for their 4 MK3a LHCS coaches are? They acquired these to run with 41001 but obviously that's no longer possible.

    Thanks!

I suspect that it is not a move to the MRC - rather that Ruddington does not have sufficient space for any more of the 125 group fleet at present.

I think it was more to do with the lack of rail connection and current closure at Ruddington. Same reason they've not started on the depot yet, I think they're waiting until they're sure that there's still a railway there.

Phill S makes a good point about the situation at Ruddington. However there is very much a total change of organisation at the GCR(N)/NHR and I'm sure there will still be a railway there for many years to come....and it will go much further South to Leicester North. I'm looking forward to riding in an HST over the Midland Main Line .....in 2025??

Railway will no doubt be there, but the body running it might not. Be pretty poor if you've built your 100 grand depot then a new operating body tell you to go away. Think there's a group down south who could sympathise.

I have read that there had been a big meeting in Feb for all interested parties at Ruddington to talk with the new GCR(N) board and that it had been very positive? Perhaps we should await some official news?

To be clear: I have no insider knowledge, I am merely speculating and frothing. Don't read too deeply into it :O
