20059/188 + 50027 all in service with 47579 also probably back in traffic by then! Definitely enough locos to run a comprehensive service.

Do you really need a big Sulzer when you have all that superior EE Traction? ;)

Some people apparently quite like the things, plus in my opinion the more diesels the merrier!

I thought MHR only had 2?
Both 20's and 47 are on hire.

The only diesels the railway owns are the shunters and 1125. All the 'big' ones are privately owned.

It’s the same situation with most other railways.
Eg the SVR doesn’t own the Class 50’s or 52’s based there.

Same with steam in the SVR’s case.
SVR Holdings own the following -
    Steam 4930, 600 & 45110.

    Diesel - 08’s D3802, D3586 & 08996
    09’s D4100 & 09107
    Ruston & Hornsby D2960 & 319290.

Everything else is owned by other groups and individuals.

I know this Pete, just trying to make a point to someone else that not every railway owns all its prime movers that’s all.

The last video of the year is up on Facebook....Duty Druid and I get a mention on the credits page (even if my name is spelt incorrectly) A nice round up of the year and some good drone footage from the photo charter with 30925 on 21/11

I've mentioned it before and it bears repeating. These videos being of professional quality is a real boon. They give a great insight for the general public and enthusiasts. Being of the size where they can dedicate funds and people on it can't hurt either. Having worked in the tourism trade and with tourism graduates, its easy to see this where the online version of Share Of Throat was heading even with Facebooks bloated Pivot To Video incident for social media teams. Hopefully a few more railways are taking a look at how these can improve the online image of them.

Good to read in the Railway press that 34007 has got the go ahead to be overhauled for Main Line operations after being assessed at Ropley.
The donation from a Swiss benefactor was certainly very generous.
Will the MHR also be providing a support coach for Wadebridge? Is the "Green Train" support coach from the 1990's/2000's still at the Railway or was it sold with the rest of the "Green Train" stock?

Looks like the whole "Green Train" was sold off as a job lot or WCRC.

The former main line support coach, is still on the MHR as far as i know, it wasn't sold to Fragonset along with the mk2's which then were sold on to West coast when fragonset went bust.

There's a MK2 brake support listed as sold and now with WCRC. Though there's a MK1 former support for the Standard 5 still around.

Have to say this support coach debate is rather nice, I will get mine in first though regarding Livery’s and say it should be Malachite Green. :)
