Saw 7029 arrive Bath, at lunchtime looked splendid. I had to slip into professional railwayman mode as people were doing acrobatics the wrong side of the yellow line on the Up platform to get a shot; it was just as good (and safer) the right side of the yellow line.
    Well done VT.

    One of my shots below.

    I was, and, I did:

Cut it close with 7029 but in the end the timing was practically perfect!!!

Here's my footage of 7029 Clun Castle barking along the Chiltern and Great Western Main Lines respectively, giving an enjoyable experience to all Great Western enthusiasts like myself with the Merchant Venturer. I filmed her at Lapworth, Kennington and Newton St Loe. I hope you enjoy the video.

Liam, as a fan of your work I appreciate this. I really didn't think it would occur how it did, and I think the passengers on the station got the biggest surprise of their life, more so when the Black 5 appeared from behind the Class 47 at the rear of 7029's train!

Ah that would explain, my old man said she was unexpectedly sedate though Tackley. As a former employee at Swindon, still made his day though!

    Thanks.

Running a little late but can’t hear (3rd coach from rear) any interference from the DL as yet. Hopefully we’ll catch up so we can see 46100(?) arrive on Saphos.

Problem with water carrier at Toton; don’t know its issue but bits of pipe are being taken forwards from the rear of the train. Looking like to be Standard Railtour Time even if they fix it. Neil B

6233 seems to have been working a bit coming through Ilkeston and a bit of shovage off 47773 along the Erewash valley and up the Swinton and knottingly joint line up to ferry bridge as I write this post but both duchess and C,47 seem to be doing their lions share of the work on fairly level track.

Apart from the two recent Tyseley trips, pure steam runs seem to have disappeared off the face of the earth. Probably going to be the 2nd WCME until we something running solo.
