Been looking forward to this since it was announced.. .
There was a worry the train would not reach Plymouth as, after arriving at Bristol Temple Meads on time, flooding was reported at Flax Bourton so the tour stood for an hour or so. An anxious time waiting at my first location went on and on until I saw that a DMU had been sent through. Then the 40s moved so that was a big relief.
The train is seen at Fly Arch Bridge near South Brent and Totnes Station.

Whilst awaiting the passage at Teignmouth and the special seemingly held at Bristol, RTT reporting nothing, fortunately someone also waiting had a mate on the train to supply what was actually happening.
We waited for the return, but a hour late from Plymouth meant we would miss our dining reservation at the Nest at Shaldon and our car parking spot for the bonfire and firework display, so no return shot I'm afraid.
Iconic seawall shot, pity about the stock and mobile generator in tow at the back !! P1130711.JPG
