not holding my breath for Saturday
thank you for posting and what grim conditions . I suspect a product of the weather but 60103 sounded like it has a very heavy beat . Also sense a degree is assistance on the back . Hopefully it will make Saturday and a trip to my neck of the woods . Wonder if a substitute is on standby

Once is always taken to be hard luck and can hit any loco. But FS seems not to be in the best of health currently and unreliable locos bring disappointment and frustration all round. Really good that it was not an on-the-road problem.

I went over to York this morning to see 60103 Flying Scotsman with the trip over the S&C line
Found out it had failed and 57314 did the trip, with a lot of glum faces at the windows
Went round to NRM and found Scotsman hiding away in the NRM running shed

I was on the train yesterday and will be writing a 2 part review on it in due course. I feel sorry for the people today who didn't get the chance to travel behind Flying Scotsman. My understanding is its due for an overhaul next year with Steam Dreams saying it will no longer be hauling its 4 day tour to Edinburgh. I hope for better luck for the people on it on Saturday and beyond.
