Crazy how much of a difference a day makes! Awesome pics everyone as usual - and I suspect more to come.

Thank you to all who contribute.

Nice run up the long drag with 60163 from Preston to Carlisle and also a success with 60103 F.S. on the south leg despite the diesel been in tow on 12 Carriages inc, S.C. I hope it was a great day out.

I would love an explanation for that total shower. Coal, water, loco fault etc ?? I think its safe to say Tornado takes the plaudits today.

Is it just me or has the train dropped off the radar since arriving at Hellifield?

Well there you go Liam, it's because it failed.

I seriously can't believe we're going through this bloody topic again. It's not shoving for the sake of it or because the driver just gets bored. The diesel is there in case of leaf fall (like yesterday), poor weather (like yesterday) or failure (like today).

It's just ridiculous that people can't seem to understand something so pathetically simple.

It was pretty obvious to me and Nige at Stockber that the diesel wasn’t pushing for nothing especially as once up close there wasn’t any exhaust beat from FS and even the fireman had his feet up sadly. Fire problem perhaps but not being an expert can’t really say .

I’m not sure that much steam should be emitting from the side of a steam loco!

60163 running well at Selside Shaw and 60103 being pushed well at Stockber.
