    I know.
Decided not to risk a 200+ mile round trip to film it.
    Big mistake:(.

Are there any views on rough timings for the SD Devon/Cornwall trip (day one) on Tuesday? RH has it as 'T'n'T', but I thought it was 'DH'.

They are now on the website, linked here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1LsIcxN5AVSqCOtFiZh5zwntHK0-MMsgKizU3LNFrrLs/pubhtml#

Obviously assuming a typo, especially given the fact that all touring companies are holding timings for Scotsman's runs, but it says its 60103 + 45596 double headed.

It says Mayflower and Bahamas on the Steam Dreams website Thomas, not Flying Scotsman.

Thanks. The link you provided shows 61306 so I'm unclear where the '60103' extract came from. However it also says it will be on the "228th", so all seems to be a bit muddled!

Given that it is a Google doc, it has been edited since 'The Modster' posted.

That's where the confusion and assumption it was a typo came from! At least its been amended now.

Yep - thanks again. It so happens we're down in the West Country then so I won't have far to go to see it.

Mind you the new page for The Santa Steam Express as a picture of 80104 next to the Swanage Christmas Tree.
Might be an ideal loco for the Hounslow Loop trip but it is not a mainline loco and currently out of ticket.
Still the description does say Mayflower.

Yes it did make me think back to the days of 80079 and 46521 on Santa's (sadly before my regular mainline trips days....)

Yes - I KNOW it doesn't really matter, but I wouldn't slap a shot of an entirely wrong loco on my publicity if I ran a business like that. It's the sort of thing the BBC now does far too often in its reporting - grab the first stock image.

Just a few shots of the A3 this Tuesday taken at Grateley, Salisbury, West Grimstead and Dunbridge.

Looks like the pictures were taken during one of the turning moves rather than the arrival or departure of an actual train - so unless people had studied RTT they probably wouldn't have known these moves were happening.

That was my guess but I would have expected more enthusiasts, even for the turning.

Salisbury was actually quite busy. Just managed to point and shoot without anyone getting in the shot. I was actually crouched between two others also taking a similar shot. Grateley was also busy as was Dunbridge and Romsey. The crossings however were nice and quiet. Just a pity that while I was at West Grimstead I got buzzed by a bl***y drone. Needless to say, BTP were advised.

You have done well to get shots that look so quiet. Nice work.

Sunday's FS trip to Oxford is cancelled. Does anyone have any information on the reason?

It could've been partly to do with the fact its doing a Kings Cross to Skegness run the day before with RTC. Not impossible for it to run 2 days on the trot, but depends on what the support crew were able to do.
