Yes, thanks, very grateful for the work the team must be putting in. Not to be forgotten while we are moaning that things being not quite as we'd like them to be...

anyone in the vicinity of the field at the tunnel may like to report on the notices posted along the road to dropping wells farm which I understand went up today . Given other fields are out of bounds further down it would be a great loss if this one went as well

Any ideas what the signs say? I know there were some put up when the poppies were around asking people to not stand in the middle and stick to the edges, I was under the impression access would still be allowed in this field.

Of course, if you disagree with what someone has posted, you could always say something like "I disagree with what you say because......." instead of the infantile, and I might say, highly offensive"what a load of rubbish"

I won't be posting any more on this particular matter.

Further to this I have been informed by someone who is part of the new ownership of the field, the field by the tunnel is NOT out of bounds, the signs that have been put up are to inform people about the crops that are there and flowers and to encourage people to stick to the edges of the field.

The previous owner was reasonably relaxed about photographers - the only time he suggested I leave was because he was about to start some shooting in the area! Hopefully the new owners(s) will prove equally amenable, in return for which photographers should respect the notices. It is worth remembering that the area by the tunnel has never been a public right of way (AFAIK), therefore access could be withdrawn at any time.

I was going to suggest the same . @maureen opinions are appreciated but when you post an absolute without any justification then sadly you set yourself up for the inevitable backlash that follows

I never tire of seeing the Duchess! Halls on the other hand are not exactly rare on the SVR

Don’t know if it’s due to be turned but 4953 is facing Kidderminster.

Would be good if someone in the know could confirm which way all the locos are facing.

As things stand as they are now

    4953, 43106, 813, 2857, 75069 facing south (boiler first to Kidderminster)
34027, 7714, 1501 facing north (boiler first to Bridgnorth)

I suspect 813 might be turned around but I wouldn't know on that front.
9466 depends what way the lorry comes tomorrow.

Evening all .Message from David Postle at the Kidderminster Railway Museum
He will be open for the duration of the gala and open overnight on Friday and Saturday night . The menu will only be the Covid menu they have had since April, but it will include hot drinks, and sandwiches, toasted or otherwise - and of course cake etc.
Also the book sale remains on . Please do take the opportunity to support Kidderminster Railway Museum if you visit over the gala

The GWR 813 Fund stall is back!
Pat Goss will be in the Junior Club coach at Bewdley all four days of the gala with a selection of books, DVDs, badges etc..
Plenty of stock and plenty of room to look around.
Photo shows us setting up on Tuesday. There will be even more on display by Thursday.
The GWR 813 Fund joins the Bewdley Station Fund, Erlestoke Manor and GW(SVR)A shops in the car park, with the Friends of Hagley Hall having a stand on the island platform, making Bewdley well worth a visit during the gala.
Thanks to the Junior Club committee and especially Martin Turbutt for making this happen at short notice.
Signage will be placed by Thursday 16/08/21

I'm advised Pitchford Hall is facing Kidderminster and 2857 certainly is.

As is 75069.:A fellow at the lineside told me he saw the Hall going to K - it could be turned at Kidderminster but I doubt there's time.
