I read somewhere that it might be only steam one way, suggest you call them and ask.

The website states that its steam hauled from London to Doncaster only (both directions). Reason for this is unknown, normally its steam hauled all the way to York and back:

That's changed from when the Christmas trips were originally advertised.

I would think even in more normal times non refundable hotel bookings are not a good idea for a railtour.

Seen this afternoon slogging up the 1 in 81 from river Hamble bridge at Lower Swanwick through my home station. Slogging not storming as the 33 wasn’t working again. Very lucky that it was two minutes late otherwise it would have been blocked by the Pompey to Soton stopper which was slightly late and the driver of which chatted to me while I could see the B1 in the distance. One day I must get a run with this superb B1 workhorse.

I sort of feel that way myself but it rarely if ever seems to run without the dreaded diesel on the back and I'm a bit of a purist in these matters!

Looks like tomorrow afternoons circular tour from Salisbury with Flying Scotsman may have been cancelled as it is no longer showing on the Steam Dreams website.

Or maybe it is now fully booked? There's a picture of FS moving south in the Light Engines thread.

More likely fully booked, it's been mentioned quite a few times in local papers.
The schedules are still live on RTT and we have gone past the time that any schedule uploads are released.

    Cheers, Neil

It’s been fully booked for ages.
The main trip to Salisbury is still shown although that is also fully booked (except standard).
Still reckon the circular tour has been cancelled.
Pity, as I was hoping to film it.

The circular tour was certainly not cancelled, and the actual times run can be found on RTT.
