According to SD website now postponed due to self isolating train crew meaning insufficient staff. That is the second tour this weekend cancelled/ postponed for the same reason.
May put the RTC trip to Weymouth on August 5 in doubt as well I guess.
    Pingdemic strikes again!

Has no operator yet worked out that if you spend about 4+ hours each way in the same location with the same people on a charter train then that is actually more risky from an exposure point of view than if you were to travel on a normal service train that generally is not running at 90-100% capacity at present?

I think operators have worked that out which is why the staff do not spend all their time in contact with the passengers like they used to.

Was actually thinking more of the passengers! On the RTC trip on Saturday, the stewards were also generally in evidence at regular intervals where I was and then of course there were the catering staff.

According to comments on Facebook 76084 is not going to be taking part now and the run is likely to be top and tailed by a diesel with 61306.

EDIT: The Steam Dreams website now only states Mayflower rather than Top & Tail Steam as it was previously.

I believe the plan was for Mayflower to lead the runs to Bury on Saturday and lead both legs of the evening run to Norwich as it turns. Then Sunday Mayflower will lead the trips returning to Ipswich/Colchester.

ECS has made it to Colchester. 47772 + 61306, the B1 facing Bury/Norwich as expected. Did not see any 'footballer' plates on the loco.

61306 reported failed at Ipswich according to RTT. A 1Z41 now heading back to Colchester.

1Z42 now showing at Colchester. $64,000 question is “what’s on the front?”

According to this video, the 47 has taken the train solo.

A pity for all the passengers but these things happen. Hoping its an easy fix for 61306

Elmswell and the 2nd shuttle then Wassicks Lane Haughley with the evening tour yesterday. Mayflower getting a generous shove from the 47 at the rear in both clips but working hard herself up both branches of the bank up through Haughley...

I have an email from SD today about their Christmas trips, and on looking on the website the rostered loco for all four trips is Tornado.
