There was chaos on the WCML this evening with someone being hit by a train at Hemel Hempstead. Not sure if it was anything related to this run.

    According to the Watford Observer:

"The incident in Hemel Hempstead happened around an hour-and-a-half before the Flying Scotsman was scheduled to pass through Hemel and then Watford.
It has transpired that in light of the incident in Hemel, the Flying Scotsman's journey was pushed ahead of schedule and passed through Hemel at 6.45pm and Watford at 7pm - 20 minutes earlier than planned.
There were doubts the famous locomotive would even be able to travel through Hertfordshire due to the lines being blocked, but it appears the train has been able to pass through."

As has been previously noted, they are not using the existing schedule but slipped in an earlier STP slot for the morning run.

Just curious, rtt is showing LNER as operating part of leg of today's York to Carlisle and return train?

Specifically Leeds back to York on the return and Leeds to Carlisle on the out (which would suggest LNER are now operating steam!), on the basis that the legs are not the same in both directions I assume that RTT has had an error of some sort?

Unfortunately they are not the only media outlet who have published the timings for today.
A quick google search shows that all of the local Newspapers of locations where 60103 is passing through today have published reports with the timings.

Sorry, I'm late to the party, would I be right in thinking these trains today have been cancelled?

No, the SD trips today are operating but the timings were not supposed to be made public due to previous trespass incidents.

20:52. Assuming 1/ I am not thrown into the dungeon for revealing the location of a publicly owned asset, 2/ You are not hunted down by the NP attack dogs for daring to ask.

And yet they suddenly appeared on RTT last night. Hopefully the indifferent weather and schools being back kept the masses away!

I watched a video earlier of the lunchtime run passing through a deserted Guildford Station. It was a little strange to see this. Other locations had quite a lot of spectators.
