    According to Railway Herald:

"MNLPS advise that from May 2021 onwards, trips around the Surrey Hills will now take water at Chertsey not Shalford."

I believe that this is because of a change in the GWR services between Guildford and Redhill. At least there was recovery time before joining the SWML at Byfleet so perhaps this is a convenient change.

At least it adds another location on the circuit where I can film the train actually moving:).

And easier for the assault of Gomshall - not that Clan Line needs a run at it but it will help.

Not a water stop, it's only 35 miles from Victoria. As far as I can remember, there are no access points on the down side at Bracknell suitable for passing hoses across the railway boundary.
More importantly, it's for shovelling coal forward before going under the wires.

    Cheers, Neil

It’s water capacity is 6,000 gals so Swindon is well within range

19/05/21: Swindon is not a planned water stop on the outward leg. The Swindon call is for pathing and traincrew relief.

The water stop is planned on the Down Relief between Wantage Road and Challow. This has been allowed for in the schedule with a suitable allocation of pathing time. I suspect the precise location is not a reporting point in TPS and/or TRUST. The water stop is therefore dealt with by allowing pathing time between adjacent reporting points, either side of the planned location of the water stop.

First mainline steam fix since October last year. 35028 on a post lockdown shakedown run with the Belmond stock passing West Kensington on the West London Line today. It was basically the Surrey Hills going round the long way via Willesden and Hounslow. The depot on the right is Lillie Bridge where Pannier tanks were once a common sight

It was, I was going to get it again at Albury but a broken down truck on the A3 put an end to that! It's the first time the engine has been out after it's new coat of varnish was applied last year so it looks even better than usual.

Jesus Mary & Joseph and the Wee little Donkey STEAM AT LAST! Clan Line looking very tidy indeed, and sounding as strong as an ox, powers through Chilworth on its post lockdown shakedown with a full set of pullmans

I thought they might have changed the headcode at the waterstop. Its Waterloo and reading via the West London Line so on the right route where I took it.

Seen from the high hills at Brockham, climbing to Betchworth, with only wisps of exhaust. Edit - nope, this site still won't let me load photos, despite trying various sizes, owing to a "security issue"! So, we have to do it this way: https://flic.kr/p/2kX6Cry
