The Battlefield Line have released a clue as to what loco they have hired for 2021 https://www.facebook.com/shackerstoneshentonmarketbosworth/posts/1769000839942723

    I'm guessing something Western.

I think if you guess 6989 you're in with a pretty good chance to win that family ticket offered in the post...

Based purely on the picture... obviously a western 4-6-0.
The slidebars are the wrong shape for a Castle or King, the driving wheels are too small to be the Saint and the balance weights on the driving wheels are too small for a Manor. Therefore we're looking at a Hall or a Mod' Hall.

This narrows it down to 4953, 6960, 6989, 6990 or 7903 as they're the operational ones. In any case, it seems that a few of you know more than me anyway and have put it down to 6989 anyway!

According to the February 2021Railway Magazine, Page 54, 6989 Wightwick Hall has been secured to run on the Battlefield line for two seasons.
So not too much of a mystery anymore.

As in January this year? It was there for their January Gala at the beginning of last year. The impression I get from the Facebook post is that it hasn't arrived there for its return visit yet...

As it transpires, yes. I don't actually know what year it is anymore.
