Looking back through threads on here David Smith denied being the buyer of 47298 last December?

Indeed a Jinty and Lion did some moves up and down the race track from Southport in the early 80s.

I don't think he denied he was the owner, just that it wouldn't be going to Aysgarth station.

As much as I’d liked to have seen a jinty on the mainline... have just seen a video of the movement passing Rose Grove and the two 57’s are sandwiching 5x mk2’s (may have seen a mk1 in there too?) in a rather poor state.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned that 47298 has already moved under stealth to a recently constructed building at Tebay to be used as a Shap banker on all future mainline tours. There is no requirement for a mainline connection. The Jinty has been fitted with self levitating equipment using similar technology to the American locomotive in the final scenes of of Back to the Future III.

Oops! Two air-brake only 57s might have been a late clue.

Always fun to watch the froth overheat on here, nonetheless!
