Thanks very much, locations are Coniston Cold on the curve into Bell Busk, Helwith Bridge and 2 bridges north of Long Preston, looking toward Settle Jn, usually regulator still open here, but not always (obviously!)

I would just like to say that this thread has been a real joy to look at. Outstanding photo's and videos of a Jubilee on magnificent form. Thank you to everyone who has contributed and to WCRC for providing a bit of time travel back to the 1960's with 45562 roaring over the S&C once again.

‘Alberta’ and crews were fantastic throughout, and thank you to all of the usual suspects for capturing the most perfect scenes.

Would have done a report of some form but it wouldn’t do justice to Julian’s most excellent account of the day. And also as soon as I got home that night, I received the devastating news that one of my closest friends had died earlier in the day in their sleep, at only the age of 21.

It has been kindly pointed out to me that in fact my quotation of the height difference from Oswald T Wistle’s original post should have been 1100 feet rather than 1000 feet. Apologies to David. So, even higher than the Shard...

Really want to say thank you to everyone for the best wishes, it’s been so difficult to come to terms with and still in total shock. But keeping myself busy and the messages do help to ease the pain.
