No I do not currently volunteer
I understand that air receiver end plates are now often the source of a smokebox door subject to suitable adjustment. Any thoughts on suppliers?

    Brennan,

There are a number of suppliers who can supply dished ends to your specification, and they cost a lot less than you might expect. If you have an original drawing for your application it makes life much easier.

First off have a look at these web sites as they show the shapes available. The machines will be computer controlled so it is possible to form any shape you require. The only difficulty arises if you want an oval or other non-circular shape.

Other suppliers are available so worth getting quotes, just google "spun tank ends" or "dished ends".

    Hope this helps.

    Andy.

Deleted. I duplicated Abedare’s recommended supplier (LBBC) without realising as I know them as Leeds &Bradford Boiler Co.
