Both to be used for cattle wagon projects.

Weirdly, I was looking at Wensleydale Railway stocklist earlier today on vintage carriage database.
Seems they have a large chunk of ex ELR Mk2s.

    http://www.rhrp.org.uk/surveystatus.htm if you are unfamiliar.

Noticed that, but RHRP still shows 12x Mk2s as being present on ELR and was wondering have they reduced this further or was the conversation I had referring to the ones already moved to WR?

I did work for a year or so as a volunteer at the East Lancs. Some of the Mark 2 were acquired for some kind of filming contact. This would be around 1999. I think the film company bought them and had them moved to the railway and then after the filming was complete they were then just given to the railway, so I got the feeling then that they didn't particularly want them or perhaps not so many. I did mop out the dirty floor of one of the Mark 2 that had just then arrived from the national railway only a week or so earlier. I recall the filming ones seemed to get painted in a non authentic dark blue with a white stripe. No idea what the filming was for and probably before I started there, so may explain why some have since moved on to other lines.

Going off the following link, VCT clearly out of date as last summer ELR own internal document was showing 11x Mk2 on site including the OOS vehicles.

The Steam Heat Van ADS 70185 was moved from Churnet Valley Railway, Froghall Sidings last night and arrived at GCR Quorn today. It has been bought for spare parts by the DCRT for the Windcutter Project.

Noticed here it says Mk1 SK 25728 is at Buckfastleigh.

    I assume they mean 25729?

When did this arrive though as VCT Database still has it down as Battlefield.

Wasn't that based there previously, before moving to Epping and then onto Norfolk? Gone full circle if so.

I can concur that the GW saloon that's been on hire to North Norfolk the past few years indeed left us very recently.

I genuinely don't know, I was only aware it was privately owned and I believed that they're not connected to the North Norfolk particularly as such.
