    Can't really press 'Like' - just wouldn't seem appropriate somehow . . .

6E8D0C6C-2340-4D19-9518-566918017D00.jpeg The br blue looks good. I imagined as I have a horny by lms o40 if the lms actually owned the slate railways in Wales what liveries the quarry engines would have had. If I put a longer cab and chimney on it it will show quite well what an lms quarry engine looked like!

When the login splash screen comes up, click the 'Not Now' link (Under the green Create New Account' button) That should let you view the vandalism!

Wonder what it would look like in lined BR Green? But if we're going BR blue can I say I like Large Logo. (I'll get my tin hat)

You mean the version on the 309's when first refurbished with the ESSEX EXPRESS logo on the side...??? I recall bets being made as to how long it would be for the name to be shortened but never heard if this happened to any of them.

Very true, however my post (as most of mine are) was not intended to be serious.
Don't think the VoR engines had yellow warning panels though, that would have been going too far.

Yeah ..... pity, that. Anyone got photoshop to redress said oversight? :D

I actually liked the plain blue ..... all the faffing around with lining made 'em look too fussy. If BR had beaten tbe current management to seat cushions in (what was then) 2nd class, I'd certainly not have complained ..... those wooden seat backs must've been built to Torquemada's specifications!

I've occasionally wondered what the FfR's locos would've looked like had the LMS taken control ..... I could imagine a double Fairlie in plain black, with 'LMS' on one tank and a '5xxxx' running number on t'other. What might've happened had the GW taken over and Swindon got at the fleet doesn't bear thinking about!
