As part of a dejunking excercise, I unearthed a box with various bits in it and an oilcan with a Brass plate on it stating Engineers Saloon No 853.

Any ideas as to what it was and where based and when.
I suspect an S+T connnection knowing who may have aquired it many years ago.

We've got NER 853 which is an ex engineers saloon running at Tanfied, it was grounded at Poppleton prior to preservation.
