What an odd choice of first post from someone who only joined today.

Its interesting that you think me "wittering" away on here can close a whole railway. I assume you also think that the things actually happening on the WSR won't ?

Its also interesting that you are following the WSR Management way of just attacking people rather than debating the situation sensibly.

    That's a pretty strong accusation.
Just reinforces Andy's point about the bullying going on in Somerset at the mo.

I read one of Andys posts some while back and the joy of working on the line that came through very strongly, and of course his grief at losing it.

For whatever reason the WSR got itself into a mess. In sorting it out there have been many upsets which really came to a head over the service of a Notice to Quit on the S&DRHT at Washford.

    Then came Coronavirus

Now @Michale.Petersons what do you think of the way that the WSR is being run at the moment?

If this is what you call debating sensibly then we'll go down that route. Is that why you got your wife to write a letter trying to get the railway to give back the grants they'd been given? Because that will probably close it... You're insistent on taking your frustration out on the management of the railway but do you actually realize how many of the volunteers who you once called "colleagues and friends" before you left you are also damaging? A lot of these people are just trying to enjoy the railway because its their hobby, have a laugh with their mates but people like you come along, put a dampening on it all and make these fantastic people wonder why they're bothering all because you had a falling out with a few people and threw your toys out the pram. Seriously...

If you cannot see that what Andy is trying to do is the precise opposite of closing the railway, then you clearly have absolutely no understanding of the current situation. The difference between Andy and most other people involved with the WSR is that he has the courage to speak out against the present management, a decision that has cost him his footplate career on the railway.

If folks don't have an account how do you know what they are thinking?

Damn it, I've responded to a troll.

Might not agree with everything they do but at the end of the day causing more bad publicity for the place isn't going to fix it. Yes these people may be in charge but they are currently steering the railway through a hard time. At the end of the day the railways still here isn't it?

I've just tried it on another browser which is not logged in. You can read everything. It certainly used to be locked down I think on the section marked 'Members Lounge'
    Perhaps @RalphW could comment?

If your in Newcastle, then why are you supporting the WSR management ? the problem is that the chairman is running it as his own play thing, and seems to removed any dissent , and set the railway on a course that will possibly bankrupt the railway,

He lives in the area, obviously still has friends on the railway and obviously still talks to them. The fact that Andy is not 'involved' with the railway is not of his doing - that's part of his point.
Andy is known for being involved with the WSR and for speaking truthfully. You've joined NatPres and immediately come on attacking a long standing member. We don't know who you are and you haven't introduced yourself or told us anything of your involvement with the WSR (or any railway) so why should we believe anything you say?

According to Facebook, Michale Petersons has 9 friends and 3 of them work or volunteer at WSR.

Volunteers are treated as staff members. If you started shouting your mouth off about the management do you think you'd be kept? And who's to say anything he says is the truth?

If I did not know better, I could, cynically, think that a request has gone out from the Somerset area to get people to go onto National Preservation and attack anyone who does not like or agree with the way the WSR is being run at present.
