The event page on the website still says 'visitor tbc'

So either it will a last minute announcement (maybe a mainline engine??)

    Or nothing.

Hopefully the former! Kwvr gala's are generally very good.

4144 .... looking forward to it. Will 4144 be operating any regular trains, before or after the gala?

I suspect everything faces Oxenhope this time around. 45596 returned from mainline tour recently facing Oxenhope. 45212 ran at the weekend also facing Oxenhope. 4144 has also been unloaded facing Oxenhope. Everything else....is already facing Oxenhope

Are one return trip tickets available or is it day rover only? The family (2 under fives) won't tolerate multiple trips!

It doesn't look like the S160 is running on the Saturday, which is quite surprising?

The Worth Valley never seem to run all locos on each day of their galas. As you say, no S160 on Saturday, but no 4F or 78022 on Friday and no 41241 on Sunday.

It could vary down to several reasons.
    - Keeping a locomotive as a standby in case of failures.
    - Crews
    - Keeping the locomotives the public might want to see more in traffic. (So visitors or even "Bahamas"
    - Allowing locomotives which are somewhat more towards the end of their respective boiler tickets (I suspect 43924 is the next one to go out next year).
    - Could also be a number of maintenance/washout and examination reasons as to why some aren't always running on a day.
    - The last possible reason could be there may not be much work available for "said" loco to do within a day.

I am sure there is a logical reason out there

I attend these events every year. My time is very limited (caring "duties"). To support the KWVR I always buy a ticket even if I am only going to Keighley station for an hour or so, and not travelling. This year I have even less time and will only manage to get to see 4144 from outside the station before returning home. It occurred to me that if anyone had NOT been planning to go due to "limited funds/other reasons", perhaps they would go if a ticket was available? (EDIT: or if anyone knows anyone in this position?)
The ticket is a "concession" (OAP/Old gits ticket!) for FRIDAY 6TH MARCH.
If there is "anybody out there", to quote Roger Waters, please PM me and I will forward the booking confirmation email. First come first served.
(I am relying on people's honesty to state that they had not previously intended to go and hope replies are received in the same spirit).
EDIT: No takers so will use it myself if I get a little extra time.
    Chris.

I seem to remember from a previous gala that it was Rover tickets only until about 3pm when normal fares were available.
