I'd just prefer Scotsman to be running without them...I guess it still could safely on preserved railways

60103 seems to be stuck at Crewe at the moment.

Apologies folks. I meant that she was stuck in the platform for a long time before moving off to the stop at a signal.

On a bright but bitterly cold and windy afternoon Flying Scotsman rounds Queensville Curve just south of Stafford on its move to Alton Mid Hants. IMG_9464.JPG

Yes I was there. It was reversing so had to run round support coach. Arrived P3 hauling support coach. Uncoupled and went forward towards tunnel, ran back through P4 and then reversed on to other end of support coach. Because there is no access from P3 to Ash line then had to go back towards tunnel again (now pushing suppport coach) and finally run through again before departing for Alton. I had to leave before final run-through so can't say what platform was used. Around 50 people on P3 to see it and at least 2 BTP .

Thanks for that. That explains the odd movements that were coming up on RTT. I became a little confused trying to follow the activity on RTT. I did wonder if the support coach would be shunted when looking at the timings earlier today.

I watched her going over the bridge at the end of the road where I live in Aldershot. We even had a small gathering of people there to watch her pass.

Like others I,m pretty sure that is the Northern Belle stock. Would be nice to see 60009 heading that to York but obviously not going to happen. I did wonder if she would be attached to the rear as a "drag" but there is no light engine path onwards from York to the NRM, so unlikely. Still hoping a LE path from Carnforth to York NRM will pop up in next day or so!
