"The Management", quite reasonably, insisted on a like-for-like replacement for the previous double track bridge. One day there will be two tracks over this bridge!

The big problem is the size of the magnets for the Magnadhesion.;);)

It wont be open for passengers. Lots to do to get the railway ready and no sense in rushing ourselves. This was just trains.

Here's a video. The wind and rain prove it was filmed today!

They were in platform 3. I am fairly sure we didnt take them off MHR property.

Yes the 47 is fitted with TPWS, and it works.

Another video here of 50027 and 47579 crossing over Butts bridge. Great to hear 50027 in action.

I think James was quite brave standing in Northside lane like that though....those 4x4's drivers don't hang around going down the hill!I was working last weekend so wasn't able to get out much though did get up to Alresford later in the evening

That's Bowers Grove Lane between Ropley and Medstead. The train is heading downhill towards Ropley near the Ropley down distant signal.
Sorry, meant to reply to the original question!

Yes it is I was referring to the last picture of course. Too many bridges I should have looked at the image number. I was surprised to see the lineside clearance at Bowers Grove Lane area when I was there for the gala, as that had become really bad on the north side of the line over the past few years.

Yes, the clearance teams have been doing sterling work in a lot of places along the line. It is much appreciated by the crews as well as the photographers and I'm sure that passengers enjoy the views opened up as a result.

Two of us cleared it nearly four years ago, but it soon grows again! Luckily "Geoff" a roving undergrowth destroyer has cleared it all again in the last few months!
