60009 has sadly encountered mechanical issues and been pulled from The Lindum Fayre trip tomorrow according to an email I received a short time ago from RTC.

Sorry for all those who are on-board tomorrow tour and to the support team and folks who have worked hard to try and resolve the issues the Number 9 has had of late.

So will this be a tow backwards to Wolverton, or a tow forwards to SWCR? depends on the nature of the issue I guess.

It's such a shame about UoSA, my heart goes out to Mr Cameron, seeing his pride and joy fail again. She's been a master of the mainline for many years but maybe she's now trying to tell us something.

Is there any path from Southall for a rescue loco to move number 9 as I'm sure ops wont want a stricken steam engine blocking the loop for too long.
