I was studying the charter train on Open Train Times. It appears instead of waiting at Bathampton Jn for a Paddington - Bristol service to pass the charter was allowed out in front of it. The Bristol bound service train was transferred to the UP bidirectional line and then ran parallel, or overtook, the charter to Bath Spa!! The service train then returned to the down main at Oldfield Park. <BJ>

Popped down to Newton St Loe for 61306, having seen 7029 in full dull up on the hill at Corston. A world away from the beautiful conditions we were blessed with for Friday's run.

I was stewarding on the VT trip to Bath/Bristol and got off at Bath with a lot of the passengers.
Had very little time to find a location but here is one approaching Bath Spa and two leaving.
    And the light was rubbish.

Heres 61306 Mayflower and 7029 Clun Castle on the charters to Bath filmed at Pixash Lane and Keynsham staion. Nearly bowled by late running stopper at Keynsham when 7029 returned, shame as Clun Castle was going well...

My footage of 61306 Mayflower exchanging whistles with Tyseley's finest 7029 Clun Castle as the Castles leaves the beautiful sunset and city of Bristol behind. Enjoy.

Mayflower seen on the trip, seen from the Viaducts over the River Avon at Bath, and 3 passing shots, all with the engine moving at quite a speed! Also includes Clun Castle with its regulator to the roof...
