Absolutely cracking photo and video contributions on this thread. Thanks to everyone who went out and captured a superb combination of former LMS motive power. And a big thank you to WCRC for turning out 45699 as Alberta in BR Green. She looks and sounds stunning. I haven't been on a ML steam trip since 2017 but if "45562" came south in future that would probably get me back on a trip. Been behind 45699 before and she didn't disappoint.

What’s most impressive is the top work from all at 10A to turn out Galatea in Green without it being plastered all over the net until this morning.

I note the max for a class 8 in leaf drop season is 11, this was loading 13 (14 if the diesel was dead) so fingers crossed that we will get similar motive power for our trip out on the 8th December!

Aye, they'll do very nicely. Fabulous.
We are indebted to.......Mr Smith, all at 10A, the loco crews and the support crews, and everybody involved in making this job possible. Thank you.
And thanks to the people who turned out to record this special day be it photoing or videoing.

Perhaps this proves the point that if left undisturbed Mr Smith and the Carnforth Crew will achieve things; it's only when "enthusiasts" begin to interfere by making demands that irritation and non-co-operation sets in. My personal thanks for the return of 46115 to main line service - one of WCRC's finest IMHO.

The diesel was running for heating and therefore would have been manned.

A cracking event agreed, but don't forget BIL and Mayflower on the WCME at the beginning of the year, they flattened Shap.
That too was a WCRC job.

Hey is that 45699 and 46115 AKA 45562 Alberta on the W.C.R.C. Santa trains? When did she come out of 10A in B.R. green? She's looking good. Nice work put in to her from the lads at 10A. I hope to maybe have a run behind 45699 in 2020 perhaps on 1 of R.T.C. C.M.E.

No, it really is Alberta. It's been kept a secret for 52 years that it was never really scrapped. :Pompus:
