Taw Valley went the other way quite a few years ago. Had a diesel pilot too. Steam came off at Doncaster if I remember correctly.
    Found it.....

I know steam westbound via the ex L.Y.R. calder valley and rochdale sometimes happens, but has there ever been a eastbound steam excursion towards brighouse via rochdale? I remember 61994 great marquess doing a mainline movement in may 2014 from E.L.R. to N.R.M. and seeing it going through Thornill when i was once cycling down the calder and hebble canal.

45407 did ecs both directions, started elr and went down to horbury to turn, then headed to carnforth via copy pit.
Also used to be the St James Day Tripper tours. 48151 did two of these, one that stopped at Hebden Bridge to pick up outward and set down on return was unassisted with 13 on. One was assisted by a class 31 if I remember correctly. Video of both somewhere in my collection.

Braunton at the head of 10 coaches and a class 47 on the rear. All looking sublime as usual

This would include a shot of Braunton passing Acton Bridge at 08:40 this morning if only this website would let me upload it. Tried on my PC and iPhone with the same non result.

When was the last time a rebuilt Bulleid went over Miles Platting (with a load)? Digging deep this morning with no help from the rear!

Late departure from museum, and there seemed to be a struggle with the turntable, with it being partly turned by hand. However, this is 34046 rolling onto said turntable.

Thank god for that the P.A. at york station exaggerated a bit saying the charter service was delayed due to issues with the steam loco.
