23 early arriving, 23 late leaving! Already recovered 10 minutes, though - must be a sound to behold.

I thought that, I put some film grain on it in Nik software to give a look of push processed TriX. Strange that, back in the day we went to great lengths with the right developers to minimise the grain and now we add in!

Another average day on the road with Clan Line. Just run EXD to BRI in one minute inside even time including a signal check to 20 at Worle. 62 over Whiteball.

Restrained descent. Opened up to 76 thro TAU in 30m 57s and held mid 70s to Uphill Jn 51m 02s. Checked before Worle Jn to 18 by 17.01WSM - PAD.

Back up to 47 to Worle and 71 Yatton. Minm 66 after Flax Bourton. Caught up 16.07 TAU - CDF outside Temple Meads but first stop on down thro in 74m 49s, under even time.

When Clan Line arrived at Bristol, steam was coming out of the back of the tender. Why would that happen?

Because that is where the pump for the air braking system is located.

Thanks Henry, a bit frustrating getting this though knowing what the weather was like ten minutes before. I don’t like getting modern station infrastructure in a shot and my original position was at the end of the other platform but I only had time to get up the steps for this one, I can’t run as fast as I used to!

Nice potter along the Avon valley until sig stop at Dundas, Glos - Weymouth unit itself checked by a late train off the Melksham line.

Recovered to 49 thro Trowbridge and accelerated to 51 on the bank and 58 at Yarnbrook. Then checked down to 8 at Hawkeridge Jn by 18.46 Westbury - Cheltenham unit. Recovered to 31 thro Westbury and 37 after, but slipped a few times, clearing Upton Scudamore at 27. Brisk run down the Wylye valley.

Hope the disruption near Waterloo (points failure and earlier trespasser) has no great impact on the final stage.

I’m not sure but the original ACE always had a number 6 on one of the discs so it could be a reporting number. I will be at Stewart’s Lane next week so I will ask, I’m sure someone will have the answer
